Family Dollar Register Campaign Supports Your Local Boys & Girls Club

FAMILY DOLLAR TO MAKE THE HOLIDAYS A LITTLE BRIGHTER IN THE WEST COOK COUNTY COMMUNITY
In-store giving campaign to provide funds Boys &Girls Club of West Cook County

Bellwood (November 4, 2014) – Every year, nearly 4 million young people are served by Boys & Girls Clubs. To celebrate these extraordinary efforts, Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (NYSE: FDO) announced that it is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) with a four-week program called, “Open the Door for America’s Kids.”  Beginning Nov. 1, Family Dollar customers in Bellwood can make a monetary contribution at checkout to be donated to the  West Cook County BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS this holiday season.

·         Family Dollar stores invite customers to give $1 at the register during the month of November to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of America
·         100% of proceeds raised at each store will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of America
·         Every $1 donation helps provide 20 minutes of after-school programming for a Club youth
·         $15 helps keep a kid safe after school today

The Boys and Girls Club of West Cook County Holds Its Annual Walk-A-Thon; Promoting Healthy Living and Community Engagement

(Bellwood) May 1, 2014 - The Boys & Girls Club of West Cook County is asking that everyone come out and help support the kids of West Cook County!  Their Annual Walkathon helps us raise much needed funds to continue offering programs and services to over 400 boys and girls, ages 6-17 in the western Cook County communities.Each participant is asked to raise pledges or make a donation of $25.  Each participant will receive a t-shirt, food, refreshments and a raffle ticket to win a prize!  Those that create a team of five or more to be eligible for fabulous prizes for the highest donations (team & individual).

(Bellwood, IL, DATE, 2014) – Designed to raise awareness and collect oral care products for children and teens in need, the America’s ToothFairy Smile Drive will be held this February, National Children’s Dental Health Month.  With participation from 3,900 Walmart locations, the America’s ToothFairy Smile Drive will promote oral health for families across the nation. 

Local community members can visit their local Walmart® to drop off donated oral care products for youth in need in the America’s ToothFairy Smile Drive Box and pick up their free Kid’s Activity Packs including America’s ToothFairy Kids Club free membership cards, ToothFairy 101® educational activities for children and coupons from Crest and Oral-B, Walmart.  Donated toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss and rinse will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of West Cook County.
